Zoya Taseva

Zoya Taseva is a multimedia artist based in Groningen, The Netherlands, originally from Sofia, Bulgaria. She holds a Master's degree in Media Art and Technology from the Frank Mohr Institute.

Her artistic practice explores the relationship between human perception, identity, and emerging technologies through immersive and interactive installations. Working across digital media, moving image, sound, responsive environments, and installation, she creates artworks that invite audiences to become active participants rather than passive observers.

At the core of her work is an interest in how identity transforms as we move between physical and virtual realities. Through responsive projections, sensory experiences, and interactive systems, she investigates presence, emotion, memory, and self-awareness, creating spaces where the artwork is completed through the audience's engagement.

Rather than using technology as an end in itself, Taseva approaches it as an artistic medium for exploring human connection and embodied experience. Her installations encourage moments of reflection and curiosity, questioning how digital technologies shape our understanding of ourselves, others, and the environments we inhabit.

Her work seeks to create meaningful encounters that blur the boundaries between the physical and the virtual, inviting viewers to reconsider perception, participation, and the evolving nature of contemporary experience.
