Yufei (Flora) Yu is a game artist and environment specialist working in a key creative role within real-time interactive media. She is currently a 3D Artist at thatgamecompany, contributing to Sky: Children of the Light, where she plays an active role in shaping environment art, visual direction, and production-ready assets within large-scale, cross-disciplinary development. Her work involves close collaboration with design and engineering teams, influencing both the visual experience and technical implementation of live game content.
Her professional experience spans award-winning and flagship titles, including RoboCo at Filament Games and Ink · Mountains and Mystery at NetEase Games, where she has worked across the full production pipeline to deliver polished, player-facing experiences. In addition to her work in games, she has contributed to a range of commercial creative projects, bringing expertise in visual design, 3D animation, and CG-based rendering to diverse production contexts. This cross-disciplinary background enables her to evaluate visual work holistically, with a strong understanding of both artistic intent and technical execution across interactive and non-interactive media.
Beyond her studio practice, Flora serves as a juror for international art exhibitions and game festivals, including being invited as a jury member for gamescom latam BIG Festival. She is also an International Ambassador for Women in Games, supporting initiatives that promote inclusion, visibility, and professional development within the global games industry.
She is particularly interested in the role of games as a medium for artistic expression and education, informed in part by her academic experience at Harvard University.
